What flatland bikes are good??

Back in the day I used to rock out on mongoose only but now I see you can buy them in like wall mart for about 100 bucks . Are they still good or are they made shitty now.. What would be good to buy for around 300 bucks these days Ive been out of the game for about 12 years!!

STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM WAL MART!!!! Honestly, if you want to buy mongoose, go to a real bike shop. Don't go to a toy store like Toyz r us, or walmart or the like. They are cheap knock off's, and you can't even find them on mongoose.com. I used those bikes as cheap beaters when I was learning, but one small crash would do them in. Some arn't even put together right, so you have to take it back, or take it to an actual bike shop were the guy will laugh at you and ask you why did you do that?
Seriously, go to a real bike shop, you can get a decent bike for around $300, but you might spend more, but it is VERY worth it!! I spent $700 on mine,

Haro, Hoffman, or get the DMC. Also, Fishbone is a f*cking AWESOME "underground" bike. Do a search on yahoo, maybe even try e-bay

i've got a hoffman ep, it cost me about $500, they also sell a better one for about $800, well acctually i didn't see the ep on the website, so they may not even make it anymore, i haven't kept up as well the past few years,

i've barely ridden it since i started riding sportbikes about 3 years ago,

i'm leaving for school at the end of next summer and i'll be living in the city, so i'll be able to put my speed four in the garage and just ride my bicycle everywhere, i ordered a fixed gear rear sprocket for my specialized, so that'll be fun

man, fixed gears are so fukin fun man. i love that you have too physically lock your legs too stop. i used too train with some road racers that used them. nothing like clipless pedals and a fixed gear

Thays too funny, I have one in my shed- a Skyway t/a with tuff wheels, I sold my Hutch Pro Racer. I can't believe someone only 21 knows what a PK ripper is (the famous Z frame). My friend is a pro BMX'er and used to have his own bike..... the Schwinn Blue Falcon. When I was a kid they were junk but he said they were great (when he rode for them).

i rocked the GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team model.

3 piece cranks and all that ****. one of the features of the bike were bitchin rims and hubs, that I ****ed up rebuilding the first time, then I rolled the 3 spoke mag wheels
