How Can You Put Pegs On A Mountain Bike?????
Ive got a NORCO 125, with dirt jam forks. the pin that goes through my rear wheel is too thin and too short to hold on my HARO peg. and in the front the damn fork gets in the way, now in the front ill just shave the side a bit, but id like to put them on without going to a single speed.

all you gotta do is get the same nut that is used to hold on the crank of a three pecie crank.... they look just like your axle nut, only they are ALOT thinner, replce your normal axle nuts with those and your good to go

well, i stripped out an axle on a cistomers bike when they wanted to put training wheels on. it will happen. and putting on just pegs will work fine. its like that on my black mongoose because the pegs i got didn't cover up the nuts.

as long as you don't over tighten it, they won't strip out..
and your not doing grinds on your black mongoose so just pegs may hold up to street riding JUST fine, but this dude is grinding and **** on'em...

you could go ghetto, and go buy a 3/8th inch thick threaded steel rod, and then take your current axle out (being carefull to keep at the bearings together), transfering everything over onto the rod, and then cutting the rod to length...
yu could have an extra 8 inchs after the nut if you wanted to with this setup
