brodie, if i get a couple 10 mm axles and the nuts, they would slide rite in a mtn bike wheel and i could put pegs on??

why dont you just go buy a bmx axle for less than the cost of a steel threaded rod?

i don't know. im sure they are all the same. just go to your "local bike shop" and ask for a 10mm BMX axle. im sure they might even have some used.
