The F4rr Conversion
Ok so I thought it was a good time to start changing up my freestyle bike a little so I added a few things...
The parts list:
03-04 600rr Swingarm, Brake rotor, Rear wheel & linkage
05 1000rr rear shock
05 1000rr 50mm forks, Rotors, calipers & wheel (w 15w oil)
929rr Lower triple tree
Hohey Designs Upper Triple
All ***** Tapered neck bearings
Gold Vortex 50mm (5 degree) clip-ons
1000rr Killswitch & 1/4 turn throttle Housing
03-04 600rr clutch cable
Power Commander PC3r module
FMF Apex Exhaust
K&N filter
-1+14 Chromoly Steel Sprockets & Gold EK MVX O-Ring Chain(
520 conversion)
And theres more crap in the garage that I havent put on yet but people keep telling me to hurry up and post pics so heres a few so far.
My take on the Rear conversion:
Now Lets just say that when I look at the bike it "looks" like my bike, but when I got on it for the first time on sunday it is NOTHING like what Ive been used to riding. The wheelbase is almost 2 inches longer than it was with the f4i suspension on it. It is so Much stiffer and the balance point is definatley higher. It feels like Im wheelieing a streched bike. The swingarm is def heavier due to the bracing and bigger axle. Its going to take some getting used to, but I think i'll love it in the long run. Not to mention I love the way it looks now.
The front Conversion:
What can I say except that its an all around better setup than I had before. Larger fork tubes & triple clamps allow for less flex, as well as it seems much more responsive when hitting bumps and just rolling around. I havent done any stoppies on it yet, as I was babying it around on sunday. It seems weird right now because I lost about 3 inches of leverage with the F4i stock fork setup. I have also turned my clipons in some as well. They were hitting the upper when they were turned out. Other than that, everything fits just perfect & I love the Hohey Designs upper 929 triple clamp.
And Thanks to all the people who helped me with parts for this build

Re: The F4rr Conversion
Well luckily my clipons are in pretty far right now so when it goes down I hopefully wont have to do this very often.
NOTE: A Woodcraft 2 piece style clipon or a zero degree Vortex wouldnt be a problem to adjust so just a heads up if ur doing this swap, DONT get 5 Degree Vortex And Flip them

Re: The F4rr Conversion
Borne and I were saying the same thing last night in the garage.
Its actually a 600rr one, but I PROMISE it still has the eject button on it
I REFUSE to use a radial master on my front brakes. Ive Never had one and I never will. My front Master is VERY strong
