Its a question of current not volts, and a remote draws verry little current, as long as its just the remote and not the main amp power the wipers should be fine, although I would probibly just tap it off the radio fuse they sell add a circuit adapters at murrays that allow you to piggy back two diffrent INDIVIDUALLY fused circuits off the same port, that will allow you to run the remote wire with out risking losing wipers, radio, ect...hope it helps Thread Starter

the radio fuse is constant even when the car is off and key out of the ignition.

Yea, that so you keep your pre sets and clock...any fuse will really work as long as you use the adapter I was telling you about..

So what i have hooked up now won't work?
It will work but I would put its own inline fuse like a 5 Amp to protect your car if it should short out....the adapter adds a fuse and allows you to pretty much just plug it in so no factory wires are cut which is better for you cuz its a lease
