Hey all, a good friend of mine is rasing money for the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. This is a great foundation that is 110% legit, unlike the united way or any of those "give to god" fundraisers.

Re: Support *****
The girls in my family have been doing this for the last three years. Thanks for the link.
Imagine...*
Imagine walking 60 miles.
Imagine walking 60 miles with thousands of strangers.
Imagine walking 60 miles, in 3 days.
Imagine drinking 24 gallons of Gatorade and water.
Imagine walking 60 miles in 3 days.
Now, imagine this:
Imagine a woman and her daughter handing out Popsicles in a corn field.
Imagine a small boy standing in his yard with blueberries in a plastic
bowl.
Imagine a bald woman in her driveway saying, "Thanks for walking."
Imagine hearing the stories of hundreds of walkers.
Imagine getting a foot massage from another walker on day 2, mile 22.
Imagine State Patrol officers high-fiving you through intersections.
Imagine Captain America blaring music from his motorcycle all day every
day.
Imagine thousands of clean, new port-a-potties.
Imagine hugs from strangers on street corners.
Imagine reading hundreds of names of loved ones with breast cancer on
t-shirts.
Imagine horses prancing and neighing to cheer you on.
Imagine a man, holding a poster-photo of his deceased wife, crying as
you walk by.
Imagine the sound of thousands of people sleeping within earshot.
Imagine strangers handing you money as you walk by.
Imagine an old man with a sign on a fishing pole that says: "You are
wonderful."
Imagine the same man, the next day. Sign says: "You are really wonderful."
Imagine eating lunch with your feet in a kiddy pool filled with ice water.
Imagine an entire family, dressed as pink flamingos, playing kazoos as
you pass by.
Imagine walking up a steep hill to the cheers of thousands.
Imagine the theme: "Humankind. Be both."
Imagine raising the dollars all by yourself.
Imagine raising millions of dollars with thousands of others.
Imagine an end to breast cancer.
This isn't imaginary. This is really happening.
This is the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day.
It can not happen without you.

Re: Support *****
No way!!! You HAVE to raise a HUGE amount of money to walk, or else you have to pay the difference yourself, this is why I say donate to this Chick!. Don't get me wrong, it's a good cause, but I'm not rich. I can help just as much driving a long with a huge thing of water in the back of my truck or serving dinner or something.
