like i have preached for the last 3 years i've been doing competitions-don't advertise to the stunt riders, they will show up like rats no matter what....all stunt riders know where the comps are----how bout we make sure there are people in the ****ing stands this year??? point being-this will help the stuntriders in the long run...recognition,money, self satisfaction----it sucks riding in front of stands that are MAYBE 1/3 full.....
get that cheap track owner to get some radio advertisement.....ADVERTISE LOCALLY people aren't going to travel more than 100 miles to see a stunt comp....i strongly beleive that if families show up, dvd's will sell, food will sell, tickets will sell......families spend money, not a 19 year old kid that just bought his first bike.
hell, i'm sure a large corporation like miller or budweiser would be approachable in helping advertise for this event....
please, take this post into consideration---there will be more stuntriders at this event than we will know what to do with....sad part is, there will be a large portion of "pros" going home with no gas money.
family of 3-4-------spend 100 bucks on a 1 day event
19 year old kid-----spends 4.50 on a bratwurst and loads it up with toppings so it fills him up, and tells the teams selling shirts and dvds that he'll be RIGHT back with a couple bucks for a dvd:-)--right
