I'm a college guy getting ready to graduate from Purdue with a flight degree. Anyways, there's a job for a flight instructor at New Hudson Airport. I was just curious what anyone knows of the area etc....is there cheap rent around or what not, decently safe etc. I'm just going up there for an interview on tuesday, but I thought I'd be prepared a little incase I want to accept the job. Thanks for any help

 

cant get much better then new hudson.....nice little place...for usre wont have to worry about no crime there...lolololol...you can get a fairly cheap rental in milford...there some apts there...my fiances family is from there...so i get dragged out there alot.lololol...but not a bad town...getting real expensive though

its off 96 and new hudson exit on the other side of wixom...toward lansing about 30 miles form detroit

 

it was the new hudson airport for years...

then in the last two years it was bought by the county and is called Oakland International Aiport #2... dont let the name fool ya... i think they have i paved runway and one grass... on the south side of pontiac trail, a click west of milford rd.

south lyon, newhudson, milford, green oak twp, brighton, all in that ten mile radius... all white people; 90%-95% whites, crime-- kids bashing mailboxes... stolen identities... speeding.

property is a wise investment in this area... my parents have bought houses/land in this specific area and seen values more than double in a decade.

 

Thanks....sounds like a place I wouldn't mind being in at all. I come from a farm family, not a great big fan of the "Large City" if you know what I mean. Especially all the wonderful things about them......traffic, people, more traffic, etc... I'll let you guys know how my interview goes tomorrow night after it happens.....and the 4-5hr drive back here

Well, I got the job offer.........so looks like I'll be moving to the north. I'm going to call the guy back tomorrow and accept the job. So if anyone knows of a cheap/somewhat cheap place, even more appreciated.

 

So what will it cost to teach me how to fly?

Can't help with any place to stay out that way. Nice area though, I'd move out in a heartbeat if I thought I could stand a commute to work.
