dont know the prices...just seen them on yahoo yellow pages...if you want to meet up pm me your number...i will be in milford next week for atleast a week while im looking for a rental myself

A co-op is ussually for older people, co-op means that you have to pay cash right there and you don't get a title for the place you get a deed, like a stock exchange. Then when you sell it, it's like you have to sell hat stock exchange to someone else. I would look more in the condo area if you were going to do anything. Trust me be in real estate now, I see where people waste there money and stuff. Talk to a real estate person, they know more and they don't cost anyhting for you just to look, just watch what you sign.

Sometimes it might suck to party with old people all around. Also it sucks cause they are just cash, some of them let younger people buy them but ussually they have restrictions on them that say you have to be 55 or older to buy. You can't have any loans or morgages, nothing under credit, just have to pay 20 g's right there and it's your. So I don't think he is going to want to do that. Just looking out!!!

Re: Sup MI/Detriot Peeps

the kensington co-op is for poor people (rent is figured by amount you make, so why bother working?) and south hill apts is literally next door with less poor people... stay away from both.

in fact those are the two of the three poorest places in milford... Childs Lake Estates is the king; its a trailer park (no dubwides either)....

Everywhere else in milford is ok.

if i where you i would look in s. lyon; be about two stoplights to get you to work... quiet, small town; lil' cheaper than what it will cost to live in milford... definitely look in S. lyon first.... i know you will thank me later.

Re: Sup MI/Detriot Peeps

yeah, i guess milford is one of the richest errr wealthiest (as we say) communities in the area... but you have to realize it was mass populated by the thousands of engineers/executives (a highly educated base population) for the GM provinggrounds... hell, the grounds are known as the 'country club' by all the executives cause it is the place to be.

educated, wealthy, rich, whatever label, people of that type like to live in the same area; i dont know why, but milford is an example of that.

cars and houses rarely get broken into, cause its easier for people with money to buy what they want or need. maybe a few a year...lol...

how could i forget the worst thing in milford?
camp dearborn use to bring in all the dirty arabs, by the carfull, but with the whole 9-11/iraq thing really has them watching their p's and q's, now you can give them the 'get the **** otta my town' look and they wont say a word and scoot. damn muckmucks with dootz dootz music.

Ok, so I'm back with more questions already. Looked up some apartments/houses to rent, once again asking about the general "Areas" if you know what I mean.

Hamburg, Howell, Linden, Highland, and Walled Lake..........thats' some places I've found as of yet that are around 30 min from my job.

Re: Sup MI/Detriot Peeps

if you want an apartment-- wixom, walled lake... soooo many places in wixom.
cheaper <5 miles wixom good "starter" city in your situation, cheaper rent..

hamburg, highland, <20 miles more "houses" less common conviences and fun places

howell, linden both seem far... howell is kinda like a good ol boy type town, real touchy; i wouldnt live there, but thats me.

Howell used to be the Michigan stronghold for the Klan. I don't think it is any more though.

The whole area is growing. Wixom, Walled Lake, South Lyon, Howell...They're all areas that I would consider if I didn't mind a commute to work. For you they'd be perfect!
