Mooters

Alright i know we have some mooters on this board somewhere. I need some advice. I grew up on lakes and always had boats for the smaller inland lakes and a 32 foot larson for saginaw bay which is gone now...never been on st. clair though ever. Im buyin a boat here very soon. I want some input on what you guys think is a decent midsize boat. I want it big enough for st clair, but not to big where the only place i could take it is st clair...still small enough to fit on lake orion....theres a 20 foot bayliner 2072 CAPRI CUDDY i like....is that big enough for st clair. Im just remembering what it can be like out of saginaw bay and that boat seems a bit small if the water is rough...shoot some ideas here or let me know if anyone has any boats for sale

Re: Mooters

I have a 24 foot Villian III its a cuddy with a 454 in it, but its shallow. If I get out before 11 am I can move pretty good. If I get out after 12:00 pm It takes me almost twice as long. Now I don't beat on my boat and I have been out on worse. I know people that go out every week end in a 21 foot and they make it. See-doo jet boats suck, Bass boats are horrible when its busy, but I hear that most boats if there not a "cruiser" under 35 can beat you on LSC when traffic is high. So in other words a 20 ft is big enough but it may be rough at times...

Re: Mooters

Sorry Noshow, but I have to disagree with you. I think a bass boat is the ONLY way to go!

Re: Mooters

How do you guys think a 19ft Bayliner runabout does out there? Bit smaller then what i was looking for and its not a cuddy like i wanted but I know someone that is gonna give me a good deal on it. The cuddy i looked at was only 20 ft with a 7ft beam. The bayliner is 19ft and 6.5 beam and alot better on gas. Id really like somthing bigger but i think im gonna go get it today so post up

Re: Mooters

I was checkin out those Villians too thats a bad *** boat you got..pretty rare to i cant even find to many of them. Your right though that seems like a shallow boat for a 24ft cuddy
