why do you ride???

was watching this show last night about these 6 chicks that were total strangers to each other and they rode together for three weeks and one of the questions brought up was......

"why do you ride"

to start this thread off i mine as well explain why i ride....

the reason i ride is because it is freedom....there is nothing that you can do that is so close to flying...having the wind in your face....and enjoying the scenery around you...

i also use my bike as a sort of stress relief....when i get mad i ride and soon enough forget about all my problems.....

one more thing...there is nothing like pulling a whoolie at 60 miles an hour and just leaning over the front of the bike its such a rush nothing compares to it.....in a way its like i have wings

I ride because it takes me away from everything. No worries, no problems, no fears. Life seem so slow at 120 mph. The ability to stunt makes me feel like superstar. Like Mike Metzger or Nicky Hayden.
It is like my only source of relaxation.

I have riddern for 27years....its just a way of life for me now...my family was into bikes...as most of you know they were HD fans...grandpa rode in a "gang"...so it was a given I would ride...by age 5 I had already been riding a dirtbike that was taller than I was made by HD it was a 125 and I started from a milk crate...and had to stop the same way or fall over...by age 7 I had ridden a big twin...and was racing dirt bikes. By age 12 or 13 I had been riding bikes on the street....the guys would come over for abbq and I was the runner when someone was not able to ride (ya know what I mean)...so they would get on back of their bike with a kid in control...they would help me steady it at stops...anyway...it just kept going...I rode Harleys for a while and got the speed bug back so I bought the R1 (after my Buell)...so this is my first sportbike......not a bad choice for a first huh..anyone wanna bash a noobie for buying a liter bike
