I had a blast at Grattan yesterday and can't wait to get back. I don't think I want to do it again on a 1K (too much power for a beginner or just me). My buddy lowsided his 04 GSXR 1K, then another guy lowsided his 04 CBR 1K. We were the only three litre bikes in the novice class. I was getting around the track pretty good and was exhausted by the end of the day. I wasn't trying to get a knee down, didn't want to push it that hard. Fun and learning the track was my goal for the day. I ended up being the fastest in the novice group, and could have went faster had I not run out of energy. I would love to try it on a 600. I am undecided as to next seasons riding. I was thinking of giving up street riding, or buying a cruiser and keeping something for the track. I may do another Busa for the street and then a R6 for the track. Either way, this R1 will be gone in the spring/early summer. I have found another addiction. The track was definately the most fun I have had on a motorcycle.
