are there any local dealers that stock used bikes? I am looking for something 1-3 years old. I only have to work a half day today and I need to start the hunt for a bike.

 

Most dealers should have them, But like cars its hit and miss. You have to hit many dealers usually to find what u are looking for...

 

Dont buy a used bike at a dealer.. You will get bent over... Check cycletrader.com and the paper.. You might be surprised at what you find out there...

looking to spend $6500 max but if I find something clean for less I will go that route.


seems like cycle trader and craiglist is mostly cruisers and ****. What they have in there as far as sportbikes it seems like everything is either a 600 or has super low miles and is overpriced. right now my top 3 choices are

SV 1000 s
03+ GSXR 750
cbr 954

I have been looking online most of the day and it seems the more I search the more I am finding. I just searched a few SV boards and sent out a bunch of emails on bikes for sale. I also am waiting on a couple resonses on other bikes too. Any input on some others boards I can search for bikes for sale? Obviously I would like to find something local but I will drive up to about 6 hours if I have to. I guess I am just getting impatient. I never thought being without a bike would bother me so much. Good thing the weather sucks this week.

saw that one, that guy is posting EVERYWHERE. he is a noob on everyboard just to list that bike. This is now I think the 4th time I have seen it. I am keeping an eye on it hoping maybe he will get desperate to get rid of it. if it were an 03 I would be all over it right away, but since its an 02 I am kind of holding out. def a sweet looking bike

 

Its only got 7000 miles.........I doubt you will find another bike even if it is a 2003 with that few miles. Looks like a winner to me!!

 

there is one 2003 out there with low miles that I am waiting to hear back on. its got 7000 miles also and he is asking less. Its not chromed out but I prefer the 03 plastics. That 02 sits about 4th on my list right now.
