Anyone heard any updates on the michigan helmet law??

Last thing I read was that Senate passed the bill back in March and it was sent to the house in April. Anyone know more updates? Whats the deal with this?

i dont understand why people DONT wear helmets....it looks flippin retarded without a helmet on...and everyone thinks that they WONT crash....you might be a good rider, but think about all the DUMBASSES that dont know how to drive cars.

I honestlly think it should be left up to the rider to decide,but I've been down a few times and I'm all for leathers and a helmet. Judging by the marks on my helmet, I don't think Rogain would do me any good. And I got road rash through my leather and the padding under it..

I take it you've never rode without one.

Anyway, its nice to take a slow cruise through town and not have one on. You can see a hell of a lot more and your damn head doesn't sweat so much, feels pretty damn nice. Yeah, you increase your risk of a head injury and thats why you ride even more careful and you take more precautions. If you ask me, the people that ride without gloves, in a T-shirt, shorts and sandals are a hell of a lot dumber than someone going without a lid. Seen it done in Ohio and Michigan.
