*****Wednesday Fireworks***** We will head out around 7:30 so we can creep in and get us a spot somewhere on Jefferson. We will chill and watch the show and bust out as soon as it over, in and out like some crooks in the night!

They are locking Jefferson down and are not allowing parking on Jefferson. I think they said every street south of Hockeytown will be closed after 6:00. It's going to be $5 to get on Belle Isle (before it closes at 10:00) and the cops will be downtown in force and will give your *** the bracelets quick for some bullshit. I was told that by someone pretty high in the dept so be careful when you head down there. They have a few more "guest" in town this year again and they need to look good.

I wouldnt count on too much of the force being down there for the fireworks. The Blue Flu is supposed to hit that night because of the planned cuts of 2000 officers the following day.

Nope, An internal Detroit Police Department memo issued Monday stated that officers who call in sick must immediately report to a designated health clinic, where they will undergo a "fitness-for-duty" evaluation.
