Today sucks ASSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! 
Last night, my home computer took a major crap. It won't even recognize it's own operating system anymore. The only solution is to format c and start over.
Well it was this time that I realize that I've never made a backup of my computer before.
So now I'm faced with a dilema. Either just kiss the last three years of my life that's been chronicled on that damned computer goodbye, or fork out the 2 grand that I don't have to a data recovery service.
But at least it ain't snowing.

ya but if the drive is inworking order, pull the data u need off (ie pictures ect). All u have to do is plug it into a another computer, it wil detect it, pull the files over u need (will be a drive letter in my computer). once your finished with all your files, plug it back in, and redo it. What is the prob your having anyway?

It started out just restarting itself after it was loading. It would restart even in safe mode. So I ran operating disc, ran chkdsk, ran the automated repairs and all that, and now on the bios info screen, I get that error message.

BTW, does the other computer that I'll have to plug the drive in has to be on XP (my current one is XP)? Cause I still got my old one, but that's windows 98.
