Rip

Hey everyone sorry i havent been on but we had a communication block. Basically a couple days we had our first casuality out here. Another unit was taking fire from a sniper, one of their guys got hit in the elbow, so another squad came in and helped out when they were done and getting ready to go a sniper hit one of our guys in the side a vulnarable part of our body armor. The shot went through and killed him instantly. The sniper was good. In return the infantry has been kicking down doors to find some intell on this guy so we can find him. So im asking everyone to pray for my fallen comrade and his family. Remember the men and women who are out here keeping the US safe. If you hear anything on the news about a michigan soldier dying it was one of our guys. Ironically the convoy i was on that day went through that area an hour prior to the attack. ****ed up. Take care bro your in a better place now.

Donny

Re: Rip

You take care and be sure to watch your buddies back. I am praying for you guys over there all the time. I served my time and came out no problem and luckly did not have to see any of my sqaud fall. It could be anyone at any given time. Keep your head down and at least one eye open.

Re: Rip

For all of us that have served or are serving now, you can never really explain to the people who have never served about the bonds you form with these people. The friends I made while in the service were some of the best I have ever had, at times they are all you have...more like family to be honest. Some may not agree with our situation in the middle east, but remember our men and women that are a part of the action are not a part of the USA's decision to be there. Donny keep your head up man, your boy is in my thoughts as is the rest of our troops!!

Like it or not, please support our troops!!!

Be safe Donny!!

Re: Rip

Donny.. I got more respect for you and your fellow soldiers than you probably think.. I had a good conversation tonight with someone here that can make the average person think how good we got it here in the fact we dont have to go through what you guys do.. Stay safe and get home soon bro.. Your in our prayers..

Thanks Adam for the insite...... People like you do not get nearly the recognition you deserve..

Re: Rip

Be careful out there Donny. It always scares me to hear something like that especially so close to home. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, and my thoughts and prayers are with you and all the soldiers.

yall are doing a great thing over there, and all of us over here are behind you.
