I have paid for one and looked at the shipping info today, it's coming out of Cali. The price is right, I'll let you know if the quality is an issue. I've always wanted a rideable mini version of my bike that I could thrash...

Today is the day. I expect the 47 cc pocket rocket to come to my house via ups today. A bud of mine bought it for his son for a birthday gift.

I'm psyched because I can now get the pocket rockets REALLY cheap. I just want to look at this first one and make the it's all it claims to be.

If I like it, I'll probably throw up an e-commerce site for it.

I promise to keep the camcorder running for all the crashes and spills.

It's even a big 36 degrees out, hell yeah, heat wave like that, you KNOW I'll be out there doing some mini wheelies and stoppies.

 

i saw these little things on ebay. they r cheap as hell. hope they are everything they r made out to be. thats an awesome deal.

 

I looked at the tech writing specs that came with the unit, it's called a mini daytona blata. Is that the same thing yours is called? This unit weighs the same, around 40 pounds. Probably the difference between having fluid in it or not. (It also blasts off pretty good, I wasn't expecting that, I thought it would have to slowly build up).

I've since then ordered 4 more, and have cash to order 2 more when the holiday is over, and also have 2 more guys brings me money. Plus I'm putting one in the window of a few local bike shops. The only thing about it that sucks. It's all routed through wire numbers in the computer, and I've tried to get the thing shipped to a different address and it still ended up on my doorstep. (small town syndrom?) fortunately the guy I ordered it for only lived a few blocks away any how. ha ha

With shipping and all I can throw one your way for $699. The ones I'm dropping into storefront windows are going to be marked $899, which is still much cheaper then going to competition accessories and paying $1599 for one. If you live close to me, and you can come get it, or we can meet someplace and I can give it to you, that will work better than me having to figure out how to ship it to a different address, (it has to do with card verification, it won't accept a different address, it says "address does not match card verification" or somthing like that). None the less you Ohio/Indiana peeps shouldn't be no problem.

Also, I know it's hard to trust somebody that you've never met before, if you check out the message area of my website you'll see where we discovered this deal, and we all decided to get one, and now I'm throwing it you way.
It would be great, since it's a local riders web site, not a global site with 2 million riders, and 8 from Ohio, if you'd go ahead and register while you are there, that way when we find a stunt show, or motorcycle related event to go to I can send one mass email and you'll also know of the event going on.

Sounds like a plan! We had parking lot races yesterday. My 6 year old daughter is really hard to beat. She is so light that it's almost impossible to get out of the hole faster then her.

We now have prototype wheelie bars for our pocket rockets.

I flipped mine a few times before thinking of making a wheelie bar, and it scuffed up the plastic pretty good.

With the wheelie bar on the plastic doesn't even touch the pavement now.

The plastic bodies for these pocket rockets cost $80 and it only cost $15 for the wheelie bar so it's a no brainer to throw one on there.
