Somebody just tried to steal one of our bikes
...that or they were checking it out to come back and steal it later...

ROFLMAO Yeah, my husband fussed at me for not shooting them. I'm not going to jail, however, for something like that. If it comes down to the bike or me going to jail, screw the bike! I have full coverage!
I had already run a dog out of the yard 2-3 times during the night, so I thought it was that dog again. I flung the door open to scare the dog only to find there was no dog. I looked over to the bikes and somebody turned around and got the heck out. They were smart, tho (If you can call messing with someone's stuff in broad daylight smart). They had on a hoodie and their hands were in their pocket by the time i saw them. They never turned around and looked at me. I honestly couldn't tell you skin color or gender because I didn't see. I would guess a male just by the way they carried themself, but I have seen some manly women do the same.
And of all times, I had just let the dogs out back to go to the bathroom. If they had been inside, they would loved to have chased him. If nothing else, maybe it would have bought me a little more time or gotten him to turn where I could see something to identify him.
