What kinda master?
What kinda master?
What kind of Master Cylinder did you guys use? I'm using this one off the R6 (Nissin), which is identical to a G1K, and it sucks. Its too big.. my daym clutch lever has to be like 4 inches above the back break lever for it to fit!!
Re: What kinda master?
I use a GSX-R750 m/c flipped upside down. I have to run the clutch a little higher than I would prefer, but I got used to it. Using the MSR Raptor clutch lever assembly worked wonders...just don't get the shorty version. I also extended the tube on the left handlebar toward the center of the bike so I could mount the left switch housing.
Re: What kinda master?
yep.. Ryan and I both were running MSR clutch levers which gave a little more clearance. But standy is right. We both had to mount the clutch real high. Pain in the butt at first but I cant stand it the way it used to be. I dont have a brake on my new bike but I still have the clutch positioned way up there. lol. do it.
Putting on a different master cylinder probably wont help. Theres not alot of difference.

Re: What kinda master?
Word, I was wondering if it was just me that noticed the clutch was almost @ eye level!! haha.. I got me a Raptor so once installed I hope it all comes in a little.
I ditched the whole turn signal/light switch thing.. but I lost my choke when I did that. Err thing should be complete by Sunday, time to get busy.

that's what I was gonna do, but I was too lazy to find another adjuster for my idle, so I made up the extension in a couple minutes. I was so excited to try the hand brake that I just stuffed the reservoir between the triple clamp and the switch assy.- its still like that now.

Re: What kinda master?
Soooo.. I went out with the brake today, all my spots were filled with cars (highschool football) so I hit up an old backroad.
That brake is crazy! **** locks up the rear wheel no problem, mad power. But getting in rythm with it is pretty hard. I got maybe ONE wheelie down just using the handy. Def. something I gotta work @, but kroozin' around I was playing with it, getting the feel down, making sure to grab the right lever @ the right time etc. Gonna be fun, thats for sure, a new challenge.
