Engine mounting thrust adjuster (GSXR600)
Engine mounting thrust adjuster (GSXR600)
I can't get that F!@#ing nut off of there, and it's the last thing holding my motor in, does anyone have the tool for it? I believe it takes a spanner wrench or a special socket. TIA

you can use a 19mm socket to back the thrust adjuster out. You do not need to loosen the spanner lock nut to back the thrust adjuster out. Use a standard screw driver and a hammer to tighten the thrust adjuster lock nut when putting it back together.
Hammer=most used tool on a gixxer... lol.
Why are you pulling your motor out?

I'm so sick of seeing the bike sitting there with the last warm days of riding left. Oh well...I'll let you guys know how it's going. Since the 02 1000 motor has a 17 sprocket on the front, i have to get a 42 rear sprocket to achieve the same gearing the 1k comes with. Although the swingarm is shorter

Motor is in, almost everything is connected, I found out I need the 750 airbox instead of the 1000, but I fired her up, damn she sounds beautiful. First person to have a 1000cc Alstare Hybrid. WOOTS!
