Damn I knew I should have bought a DODGE!!
Damn I knew I should have bought a DODGE!!
Chrysler today leapfrogged every other car maker by extending its powertrain warranty on every new car and truck it sells to the life of the vehicle. The warranty will apply to the entire powertrain including the engine, transmission/transaxle, drive shafts, and axles. The new warranty goes into effect today, July 26, 2007 and applies to all new 2007s that are on the dealer lots as well as 2008 models.
Re: Damn I knew I should have bought a DODGE!!
That's the oldest trick in the book, you know you will be out of business in a few years...........so offer a lifetime warranty. Chryser is going to the auction block within two years. The dealerships are going to sold the chinese maker CHERY, someone will buy the HEMI patent rights and rights to the Minivans and the rest will close up shop. The new owners, a private investmate company will be happy a can be, Writing is on the wall.

1. Dan is retarded and is just bitter because DCX came up with a way to sell off the bloated inventory.
2. The warranty covers new 2006 vehicles as well and you can also buy the warranty for $750 if you already own an 06 or 07.
3. See this thread for some of the details. A salesman from Hall D/C/J in Fenton is posting:

Re: Damn I knew I should have bought a DODGE!!
warrenty is just a word - nothing more. Say a shift selinoid fails, so your car defaults back to first gear and blows the motor.Guess what! that selenoid caused the problem and it's not considered part of the drivetrain, it's part of the electrical sytem...bye bye warrenty
this is why I got rid of our Dodge neon...got sick constantly paying out the butt to find out what the warrenty DOESNT cover. Anybody know what it cost to make Neon tranny shift properly while still under warrenty? I do - $950.00 for the selenoids then they try to sell you a clutch pack cuz it needs that now too.oh yeah no warrenty there either cuz it was caused by the electric part that is'nt covered. You wanna talk about Chrysler and warrenties? cuz I can go on......

I also think you're retarded for having the "look a gift horse in the mouth" attitude.
Some of the verbiage of the warranty is now also posted thanks to a Member that works at Clarkston Jeep in addition to the Dealer Salesman answering questions.
Look through this list and you'll find some really surprising items, such as viscous couplings, etc:

Re: Damn I knew I should have bought a DODGE!!
its a limited life time warrenty and its only offered to the original owner. it doesn't transfer to anybody and limited usually means you get one time to replace and the second time you pay
