Molded ear plugs/headphones
Molded ear plugs/headphones
Anyone have any experience with fitted ear plugs that are also headphones?
For my radar detector, I used to use a small set of speakers in the helmet, but I couldn't hear my detector when I had my earplugs in. So I went to a cheap set of ear plug/speakers.

These suck because they are so big that my ears feel like they're getting fisted and they hurt so bad that after 1 day of riding I will go without using my detector. So I was looking around and saw form fitted earplugs that have speakers built in them. Looked really cool but motherfu(ker were they expensive. Some of them were $900.
So, anyone ever had any made for their ears for cheap? like $50?
The reason I'm asking is because on the way back from my cousin's house in K-zoo I was cruising down 94 at about 90. I had my detector going. I passed about 10 cars and then I see a statie hitting the brakes coming at me. He is just hitting the median to turn around when I pass him. I look down and my detector is pegged but no sound to my ears. F. I watch in my mirror and see that he can't get on the highway for about 15-20 sec because of the line of cars behind me. I look up and see "I-69 2 miles". I look back again. He is about 10 cars deep behind me, I'm about 3/4 mile ahead at this point. F it. Drop a gear and hit 160. I can just see him coming out of the pack of cars before I lose sight of him. I cut in front of a semi and hit the off ramp. 69 north bound, hopefully he won't guess which way I went. He didn't. But I really would rather have the warning so that's why I need some good earplugs. FTP.
