I thought I had my MP3's backed up when I formatted my computer.... I didn't and lost them all... If I re-install Itunes and plug in my Ipod will it put the songs off the Ipod and onto the computer or will it delete the songs off my Ipod?

 

It will not put them back on the computer with itunes. There are other programs however that will do this for you.

Poke around on www.ipodlounge.com and you'll find the programs

 

I used PodPlus... it's only a free trial, but you shouldn't have to use it more than once or twice anyway.

Some of the free trials limit you to the number of songs you can pull off the ipod. Not sure about that one though.

Best one and the most accurate is Anapod Explorer. www.redchairsoftware.com

It integrates right into windows explorer and is seamless. Some of the cheaper programs don't pull all the metatags off right when backing up and/or mixes songs up with titles etc. Dunno if this is beacuse I have 20 gigs of music on mine or just the programs are crap. Anyway Anapod works fantastic.
