not to get back on topic or anything but now wifypoo thinks the lawer idea is stupid...I should just pay the ticket take the points(I did the crime-I should do the time or whatever)..so now Im trying to weigh the long term (what? 3 years) against the short term cost of fighting it. the fine is $115.00 ,not that big a deal compared to what$500.00 by the time all is said and done?cuz lawer fee,still proly a fine,miss day of work for court..12 hrs @ $16.00 plus it might as well count as O.T. so $24.00 but thwen again 3 points can add up fast if I get another ticket in the next 3 years and knowin my luck I could get sucked into that driver fee Granholm crap again ARRRG why cant they just leave me the hell alone?!Im so sick of this shiat!FTPFTPI had some kids(like13-14 years old) knock over every garbage can on my street(huge mess!)I ran out to n yelled @ em and they just cussed@me and took off on their bikes I was pissed(I now had a pretty good mess to clean up now ) so I call 911 n what they say...not gonna send anybody out-even if they find these guys it wont make any difference so what the hell do I pay taxes for?oh AND speeding tickets (on a back road @ 4A.M.)FTP!! sorry had to rant

There may be a rare case of a lawyer not paying off. I WILL NEVER not get a lawyer again in my life. I can't believe early on in life I just paid tickets. two words........................GET LAWYER. My stinking wife didn't believe me either. My lawyer got her speeding ticket totally dropped. I got my wreckless (6 pts) dropped to a 5 over speeding ticket. See Al Zerka and told him I sent ya.

Your right Bill, the big problem is if you get another ticket in two years your totally screwed. Get rid of the points and pay for the stupid lawyer. Just my

 

R1dude-I totally agree w/ you on this but I got into a huge fight over this (I knew it had to come sooner or later) w/ wify last night and I can pay the ticket and be responsable-or I can steal christmas from my family,and make them suffer for my stupidity(of course theres alot more always is) but in a nutshell thats about it. cant afford lawer and if I want to continue being married I should proly forget about fighting it.Now if I got the ticket in Feb. that would have been a different story of course wify has never had a ticket-ever,just puts us @ diff perspectives on it,its not like im trying to say I did no wrong,I just I just wish I could do some damge control but some people would see it the other way

 

I think you should fight it just to keep your insurance from seeing it.
Jakey poo has more run-ins with the law than I do, can't set foot in Switzerland but still costs less to insure than me... Maybe its becuase he gets a senoir discount on insurance though.

I would get a lawer... BUT even if you dont, fight it without a lawyer.... you still have a chance, I got out of a 77 in a 65 .like that befor (cop didn't show) , and my lawyer got me out of a 71 in a 45 const zone.. and no points, nothing on my record (remember const zone is 2x the points/fine) just a $100 fine.... and court is useually at night, you wont have to miss any work.. (unless your on 2nd shift)
