Sounds like a good idea. But our construction crews SUCK! Something tells me that if they greenlighted this project tomorrow, it'd take another 30 years just to get half-way done.
GENESEE COUNTY - It would be the first ground broken on a new piece of highway in the county in 30 years, and for Tim Keener and many motorists, extending I-475 is overdue.
Some planners believe connecting I-475 to U.S. 23 is the quickest way to tie the fastest-growing parts of Genesee County more fully into the county's strong freeway network. The new federal transportation bill contains $480,000 to study the idea.

Even if they DO build it, they will do it in asphalt that will get destroyed by plows in the first winter and it will have to be completely re-done in concrete.
