I know Dan was on KCSB wanting to get ride of some sort worked out for our friend Rick who passed away this passed Sunday. I know we are having a ride on Sunday March 20th. All the details are not in as of yet. But I was told we will start at Smithers and end at Cafe Racer for a early dinner. All proceeds from food with go to Ricks wife and 4 year old son.

We also have stickers that will be available Wed. and patches that are being made as we speak. Any donation will help.....most all of it goes to his wife. I will post a link for more info and a website for donations.

I wanted to start a thread that could be stickied and remain un cluttered for people trying to find only information about the when's and where's of Rick's Rides.

The MEMORIAL RIDE will be on the 20th of March, and will start at Smithers Customs at 2pm. We will ride by police escort to Cafe Racer Inc. where we will have streets blocked off for a little post ride gathering. The folks at Cafe Racer have offered to sell grill food and beverages with all proceeds going to Rick's familly. We will also have RixGix stickers on sale at both shops.

Out of respect for Erin please no stunting, showboating, or riders getting out of the motorcade on this ride. Dan Jackson...if you see this I have a job for you, should you chose to accept it.

The details on the FUND RAISER RIDE will be posted in this section once we get some concrete plans on the table.

Rick's familly and friends have really enjoyed seeing all the support in all the other threads, but please keep this one clean and only for people planning the 2 events. If anyone can get this stickied at the very top of the Rick section I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you everyone for all of your help. I wanted to let everyone know that I have been keeping Erin posted on the paypal account we have for her untill she gets back and she is overwhelmed with gratitude. She can not believe how you guys have sprung into action.

Also Sat. March 19 there is a memorial at the claycomo community center if anyone is interested. Visitation is at 10-12 and memorial is at 12. if you need any directions for this go to the link above.

Just wanted to say thanx to everyone who attended the ride. It really ment alot to the family.....when Ricks mom got to Smithers her eyes were so wide she said "Are all these people here for my son?"

i really wish i would have made it for the ride ... it was good to hear you guys had such a good turn out ....

 

Wish i could have made the ride but my son was sick, glad there was a good turnout.

 

overall was a fun ride, fun afterwards at the lot too.....hope it raised plenty of money!!!!
