I agree totally but, If you run and crash, its your *** and you'll get no sympathy from me. I've run before and got away but I don't make it a habit.
You have to measure your risk, and the other factors like traffic, weather conditions, the location of the cop (be it moving, or stationary) AND you have to do this in the split second you see him. I've pulled over for the man too and 90% of the time they thanked me for pullin over and let me off with a VERBAL warning. A ticket is better than court and possibly jail time.

YOU WANT A REAL SOLUTION?? HAVE THE STATES THAT WE TAXPAYERS GIVE MONEY TO, BUY UP A MILE OF LAND AND PAVE IT FOR US STUNTERS TO GO. LIKE A SKATEPARK FOR BOARDERS only FOR BIKES :YEAH

Re: ftp

People will always run, that's a fact. No matter what we do or say that's not going to change. However I think there should be guidelines for what laws being broken can be chassed over. If a cop is chasing a murder suspect you wont hear me complain. If he's chasing a guy for doing a wheelie and the guy on the bike or the cop hits a mini van with a family full of kids, and kills them all, I'm going to be mad. You're all right that the guy on the bike didn't have to run. But the cop didn't have to chase either. They BOTH made the decision to up the anty and risk everyone's life over some bullsh*t ticket. If the cop backed off, would the guy still be running? I have read a bunch of stories where the cop is actually the one who hits and kills an innocent person (these cops aren't exactly race car drivers.. and crown vics aren't exactly sports cars.. actually most cops are not even trained for high speed chasses). I think there should be better methods for catching someone over a minor traffic ticket other than risking the lives of everyone involved (bystanders included). Example's: camera's on light posts, road blocks, check points, etc.. anything besides risking peoples lives. And if they don't catch the guy in the end after all that? Oh well.. it was a F*CKING TRAFFIC TICKET!! get real people! no one dies! The mini van full of kids makes it home alive for dinner!

If someone breaks in my house and gets past my pit then they need to address my 12 gauge, i aint calling the cops till iam done shooting his *** and the only reason is gas prices are to high to move the body, so the cops can do it. As for the bike being stolen , not happening unless your a master theif, get in the garage again past the pit cut off the chain break the ignition and i dont wake up. No need for a cop no matter what, Colorado has the make my day law. And cops ,some are cool as hell, however most are trash. As for the chase law, plain andd simple if its just traffic and you have the plate get em later, if it is a murderer chase his ***, he has killed before and may again, the traffic guy hasnt. Felonies why chase if you know hes a felon you know who he is back off and let him slow down and follow with the copter allowing cops to remain a couple miles behind, thus he will think the chase is over . With flur he wont even know there is a chopper cause they dont need the spot light its all thermal imaging. John
