Talking noob w/ noob question

Ok so i guess im a squid cause all last year i rocked out my first bike, a ninja 250. My dumbass question for everyone is? I dont want to loop my bike but, i have this feeling that im going to finding the balance point this spring. What type of armor should i find? Will dirt bike gear suffice? And im reading alot about covering the rear brake, should my foot be able to rest on the peg with my toes 'hovering' over the brake? I have a hard enough time doing that normally. Or can i count on engine braking, since ill be in first at a high rpm? Any help preventing bodily damage to myself would be appreciated.

Re: noob w/ noob question

um.... you are gonna have fun looping a bike that barely has enough power to propel it forwards. Just kidding. kinda.... get an icon field armor vest and some elbow pads. But just curiously, why a 250 to stunt?

Re: noob w/ noob question

80 tooth? Nah. I was thinking the basics. Cover the rear brake. Don't wear gloves. Setting 5

Re: noob w/ noob question

yeah i clutched it up from around 8000 rpms with a little bounce from the front and it almost threw me. i caught myself though. scared the **** outa me. ive never gotten the front wheel that high before. but i learned that with more preloading of the front it didn't need to clutch from such a high rpm. i just want to find balance point and go from there i know it wont power up at 80 mph, but its what i got and whats wrong with rockin it till the wheeles fall off?

dude...do you really want to wheelie at 80??? you need to learn brake controll b4 youll ever balance! otherwise youll be pickin urself up off the ground and collecting pieces of your yard saled bike... pop it up and hit the brake..pop it up and hit the brake...over and over till it comes naturally then you can geter higher in the air and find balance... and when you go too far youll be able to save yourself!!!!
