Re: first bike

I had an 87 a really long time ago. you'll get tired of it quick so save the thirteen hundered untill you are ready to buy a new bike cause when u try a modern sportbike(as in made this centery) it will blow ur mind again and you'll wonder how u ever did without

welcome to stuntlife! first of all i would just leave the plastics off if they look that bad. make it look like a streetfighter... just use the bottom portion of the fairings and you should be good to go. but i would have to say post some pics up to really say. post a couple of pics up if you can

Re: first bike

looks desent... you should try and put the lower part of the plastics on if you still have them and leave the top portion off.... put the one under the seat too. shouldnt look too bad.

Re: first bike

+1 save your 1300 bucks and put it towards something better.
its time to move up to a modern day 600
and if you shop around you can pick one up for close to double that

Re: first bike

yea me and my friend who also has an old fz600 are leaving everything naked (street fighter) cept for following the rear quarter frame section upwards with sheet metal- were clueless about how to modify the tail fender tho with the taillight we took it off cuz it bent down around the wheel and looked dumb, does anyone know of any boneyards where we could do some trial and error
