like i said, if u finance through a dealer here you do NOT need insurance. i didnt need it when i financed my RR. its against the law to ride without liability though, so that is their call. and it was a bank who financed me initially, until i refi'd through prosper.com for a lower rate, and they still didnt require ins.

 

It depends how the dealer gets you financed. They also go through banks that will require full coverage insurance. You financed your RR on the Honda Card, didn't you?

i didnt either. i think it's stupid on their end. but i rolled with it. i didnt get insurance for the first 5 months of owning the bike. i got around the state requiring insurance thing

 

There must be a bank down there that doesn't require it, so all the dealerships use them.

That's just dumb. Riding without liability can ruin your life. Without collision will only put you out the balance of your loan.

 

no. i was having trouble getting financed due to the divorce and they stated that they faxed my application to numerous banks that they go through. and it wasn't a local bank that finally financed me either.
