In his very first post , he said he started it , rode to his buddies house , and it stalled out on him when he got there and wouldn't start .
Meaning maybe that the battery had drained during his ride and could not keep the bike running ? I know he said he changed the rec/reg , but that doesn't mean the alt is charging all the way .

This might sound dumb , but are you guys sure that his altenator is putting out a full charge ?

voltage regulator has been changed too of course
on the last motor it showed 14.5ish when running

Is there a way that you can turn the flywheel by hand or with a tool when its cold . Then try to turn it by hand again , when its warm . To compare and see if something in the engine is making the starter harder to turn the engine over ?
Re: Omr Subcage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
with teh chain off, we put the bike in 6th. I put a torque wrench on the bolt that holds the rear sprocket on, and used it to turn the motor over real slowly, taking note of the highest torque reading. We did this on his motor with it cold, hot (225) and on my bike too. Same reading on all 3 tests.
Re: Omr Subcage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then that means something is causing a load , electric wise , before getting to the starter .
Something is not letting the starter get enough amperage to turn the engine over at it's regular capability .
Could be either on the postive side , or negative side .
Is there a way you can make another ground cable to make sure you are getting a good ground .
And on the positive side , is there any green corrosion (canadian moose moss
) on any of the connecters or wiring ?
