ok so it wasnt a crosspatch. It was a rogue dhcp server on the netowrk. To make things worse, it was coming from a virtual machine running on one of the classroom pcs from my MCSE class.

Systemic financial collapse is upon us. Five US and European banks, including Wachovia and Washington Mutual, have nearly fallen to pieces, Wall Street has cratered in the wake of the demise of Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and American International Group. Merrill Lynch just barely saved itself. This is much worse than some big company going bankrupt.
