reasoning also helps some times. when my kids were doing a lot of stuff to get punished, i'd tell them that they must love IT. they'd say no, and i'd tell them that they did something that merits IT, so logically, they love IT. i question them a lot about their logic to make them think too. punishment with me isnt just a quick smack, as u can see i like it to be physical and mental stimulation. come to think of it... it feels like its been forever since i had to seriously punish any of them.

If you actually read some of our conversation, youll see quite a few times where say my parenting skills need help.

 

trust me i have tasted beckys e anger and i am aware but it need to be made clear that mike was looking to be a better parent and that should make her happy because most guys wouldn't give a **** about being a good parent to some one elses kids they would just beat them daily and mike knows that isn't the right thing to do or he wouldn't be talking about taking parenting classes

 

knowing that i was going get whipped was plenty of motivation for me is all im trying to say.

i understand what you are saying and agree completely.

the difference your kids and the kid that i was is, i knew right from wrong. i knew that what i was doing was wrong, i would just bank on the fact that i wouldnt get caught or just wouldnt care altogether.

you want to know what really pisses me off? it's not the fact that you're talking about the kids like they're animals....they're not. they're kids. every kid i know acts like my kids. they're no worse or no better. they stress me out because it's hard for me to be around the 24/7, and now that i have the stress of doing well in school that stresses me out even more. you have never been around any other kids but mine....but whatever i know they're not 'perfect' kids.

there was a post by someone (i read the majority of the posts) talking about alex having brain damage and i drank too much or did too much crystal meth....not funny....what pisses me off is that you could've said something like, don't say that, or shut up, or that's kinda taking the kidding around too far....instead you do a +1 or whatever you did.

 

u were a stupid kid my uncle was the same way. when he'd do **** that was bad, he'd take all the belts in the house and throw them on the roof, LOL. in honduras, many of the houses have flat roofs, so sometimes my grandmother would make him climb up and sweep the roof. he'd sweep around the belts and ****, and my grandmother would say, "Keep sweeping, i know there's more stuff up there!" and he'd say, "Nah, it's clean. there's nothing else up here." LOL! she knew some kinda way.

i just spent about ten minutes going through all mikes post to show you all the times he said he wanted to be a better parent and he wanted to take a parenting class but i got a ******* error code so when i went to post them they were gone....

the point i was trying to make is he is trying to be a better parent and he is willing to do work ...he obviously cares and is trying

 

take it easy on him, HE WAS ASKING FOR HELP!!! and the reply might have been out of line, but it was a joke.


he's never been a parent, is doing the best he can, and asking for help from the people he interacts with. for any man never having been a parent and taking on two kids is a big task. my father couldnt even take his own kids.
i was and am far from stupid, i just didnt care.

i used to do the same thing except i would hide them in the couch cushins and if i couldnt hide them, i would cut them in half so they wouldnt hurt as bad.
