LS7. 7.0 liter all aluminum V8 small block made by GM. Used in the Corvette and the later years of the GTO.

You aren't correct on either account. They last just as long as a piston engine and aren't really efficient.

The LS7 only weighs 50 pounds more than the rotary engine and has way more HP/torque/ upgradeability.

I've had good luck "welding" plastic back together using a soldering iron and scrap plastic as a filler rod. Once it's sanded, you can't tell the difference. It's weaker than original but for normal use, it holds up fine.

the rotary engine used to have serious problems with the seals (apex seals) along the 3 points of the part that did the rotating. they'd have to be replaced within 100,000 miles. it was also rated a quieter engine compared to the piston engine. it was considered efficient because it generated power using less motion than the piston engine, which took four strokes. i did quite a bit of research on that thing because i wanted an RX7 a long time ago. of course, technology has advanced since then. give me the source of ur data so i can read up on it.

by the way, i KILLED my ****** interview. i'm one step closer to passing you up. muahaha- muahaha-muahaha- muahahaha

150-200,000 miles. About the same as the rings in a piston engine. It's just nasty **** happens when you crak an apex seal. On the RX7's the water seals go first (the engine block is in 2 pieces). Kind of like a head gasket in a piston engine.

I wrote a 5 page paper on rotary engines and had an 87 GXL. I bought it with 89,000 miles and sold it with over 140,000......with no problems.

ps, you should be making more than me old man.

damn, thats good. i used to read about a ton of people having problems with less than 100,000 miles. i didnt want a car that had more potential to be a lemon than a regular car.
