Oh boy let's argue imparted knowledge. I spent 2 years in engineering, my 2 best friends are ME's ... and I had a professor that taught that a motor develops energy or creates motion

OMR, what kind of price can you give me on a subcage if I agree to put an ad in my signature on here and on SUSA. That's 48,517 individual advertisements.

Just hit the button to send it right to voicemail and pretend you don't get service at your desk.

$175

That's half the price of a MIG welder I want anyway. Looks like I am making my own based off of the steel F2 pegs I have kicking around.

Even if you cut them up, braced them, and welded them back up?

Take the pegs, notch above where the 2 tubes meet up so the rearsets can be bent closer together so they fit an F4i. Fabricate a gusset plate and weld the 2 tubes together, cut off the piece that the pegs bolt to and rotate is forward. Heat up some bar stock to connect the 2 sides together.

except for the subframe mounts, thats more work than making one from scratch. And those oem f2 brackets are either cast, or very thin. You could bend the 2 tubes closer together by hand

A decent used ones go for about $500 or so. Don't have one in particular I am looking at buying, but I want a 220V MIG. I'd like a Millermatic 175.

That's pretty much the plan. The tubing didn't seem that thin/ weak to me.
