yo, OMR guess what. so i've been practicing welding for a couple of weeks at a friend's shop, right. they do small stuff, not stuff that needs superior welds. anyway, dude had a welder quit and they said i've caught on pretty well and i weld good enough to work for him part time and offered me a part time gig at $12 an hour. i know thats small potatos for an experienced welder but i'm new to the **** and i could use a lil extra money while i practice getting better. now is that awesome or what???

Re: subframe cage
they make mostly gates and ****. they do a lot of cutting, grinding, etc. only thing is i wont get experience welding things like tanks and **** and no tig but hey, its good practice and i get paid for it. gotta love it. thanks for all the help with all the questions, by the way. and i looked up clarke welders. they aren't top notch but they sell them at sears and in the forums a lot of beginning welders are very happy with them. i think i'll go with one of those. as i progress i'll get a bigger name brand if i ever need it.
