I need a new straight sub frame if anyone knows of one, and I am considering a round bar but cant find any pics of one. My first impressions of the bike are pretty good. It doesn’t have a cage so I haven’t tried to slow it down much cause I don’t want to stall it out but at about 7-10 mph it feels just as stable and as easy to ride as an f4i. Real smooth power, and a lot more of it then I remember R6's having... But then again I haven’t ridden in a year so it could be hella slow and it would feel fast. The tank was already dented and dinged up so I need to finish it, but I would like to see some pics if you guys could hook it up with some links that would be cool. secondly the bar position sucks big time. What have you guys done? And gearing? what would be an good setup for mostly lots? I was considering -1 +12 then I could go back to stock or even up one from stock and it would only total +6 if I ran a 17 front (+1 From stock). What do you think?

 

I actually just ordered a (-1) and (+1) front and a +16 rear so i will have three options on the front, and a new subframe so if someone could get me some pics on how to re-enforce it that would be great.

 

Best thing is just running flat stock from pass to main pegs on each side.

 

R6s are so eay to manage, gotta love it

 

get a regular f.i. 12 bar and reinforce it by running a piece of steel stock from the back of the bar to the swingarm bolt. f.i. cage worked great on my 05.

i ad a pic of a guy doing a round bar on the 05', but i caint find it for some reason.... i was thinkin' of doing it, but i decided i dont wanna scrape just yet. i need better throttle control for that, unless i go back to stock gearing. this -1 +4 is crazy snappy from time to time, when i aint thinkin about it... i might put the stock front back on, or the stock rear.

it me up if you need any parts bro, i got tonz of em.... i mean tonz!!! subframes, rearsets, clipons, forks, etc. etc.

is the subframe reinforcment the same for an 05?

 

yep, its hella easy to make there are two ways either run all thread through the swingarm bolt or run it to the lower subframe bolt both work hella good, but id use the second method just so it looks cleaner and all you have to do is get a longer bolt.

 

my buddy is ready to get rid of his 05 cus he broke 3 subframes this year, I told him this winter i was gonna build him one but if its that easy Ill give it a shot.
