Then it might be worth it, but stunters are broke and so how ya gonna pay for it?? hehe
Just givin' a hard time. It's an awesome idea, if someone would actually take it and run with it! Re: We Need to Get Him Off A Bike ... Forever
Oh no... every person would sign a waver the SECOND they put one tire in my parking lot and have a monthly membership fee. I'm sure if people had somewhere to go that was a huge indoor warehouse they'd pay. Besides, cost of operating a place like that would be cheap. Rent and utilities would be the most expensive and I'd even post that $hit on a board so stunters knew it wasn't for profit.. it was to pay the god damn bills!
It would basically be like going to a drag strip. Any joe can come, but the 2nd you participate in that activity you forfeit any right to claim insurance and/or hold the establishment liable for loss of life/injury/dismemberment!

Doesn't have too... but I have the paper in my hand with their signature on it that basically says: "I'm ****ed b/c I signed your agreement and I rode a spreader into the wall".
Re: We Need to Get Him Off A Bike ... Forever
But the riders will cause damage as well, and you will never get money to fix it out of the person who "did a spreader into the wall"
There are a lot of things to think about, and it would take a pretty highly educated business owner to be able to get all the snags sorted out before it caused a lot of issues...

Re: We Need to Get Him Off A Bike ... Forever
Thank you for assuming I don't hold an Economics degree from Colorado State University.
I've helped 2 of my friends open businesses, and you are right... the legal jargon behind opening a business is ridiculous. But, your only saving grace is documentation. Finances can be settled with keeping a credit card on file for any individual that rides, as well as licenses, and any other means of identification.
And I'm pretty sure that most will abide by the rules... assuming we all enjoy the same sport. If the warehouse were to be large enough I would divide the area into 2 sections for skilled riders and non-skilled riders. And all walls would have flame-resistant padding, including crush resistant barriers. Ventilation will be a must due to the large amounts of carbon monoxide that will flood the building. All riders would ride at their own risk and will have signed a leak proof discretionary policy releasing my establishment and any affiliated partner of liability.

Didn't mean to offend, just stating the facts. It would be hard and would tak a lot of time an patience to get it all sorted out. It definately could be done though, I'm not saying it can't!
Re: We Need to Get Him Off A Bike ... Forever
I was just giving you $hit about dissin me GixChic... I know you didn't mean any harm. I'm a very relaxed guy, takes a lot to really **** me off... especially over the friggin' internet.
Re: We Need to Get Him Off A Bike ... Forever
I would hate to be so negative here, because I would actually like to see this happening...
So lets say a 18 year old kid, signs a waiver and does a christ into a wall.
Lets also say the Dad is a corp laywer and the mom is a mayor of Phoenix.
This will be taken to court, and you will be paying so much in laywer fee's it will be out of control.
Any laywer will be able to find some technical loop hole in the waiver. I think you may end up with some lawsuits on your hands....
I am not trying to hate, just looking at reality here.

Re: We Need to Get Him Off A Bike ... Forever
Again... paper trail. The waiver the kid signs will state clearly that "In the event I __________ am involved in an accident that involves injury, dismemberment, or loss of life, all liability towards "Stunt Heaven" (lame name but whatever) and any associated affiliate will be released and all expenses including damages, all legal/wreckless disgregard will be the sole responsibility of myself and shall not be miscontrued in any way. I have read this document in full and understand, under a clear state of mind and neither any intoxication or limited health/medical decisions will be taken into consideration in the event of me signing this waiver and if any of the above were to occur on the property of "Stunt Heaven" during or after regular business hours, Owner: Shaun Farley, and all associated parties will be released of ALL LIABILITY"
