I broke my collar bone a week ago when I lowsided a rolling burnout...The doctor said it would take 4-6 weeks to heal..I rode my bike today to the store and it really didnt hurt unless I made a tight turn or hit a bump and then I could feel the bone pop in and out of place..Has anyone else broken thier collar bone and how long did you wait before you started riding again....

 

I have broken my collar bone and my left knee actually my tibia ( shin ) it split straight down the leg towards my ankle at 4 mph doing 12's and bailed wrong, that was in april and still healling today

 

I guess it was about 6 weeks until I got another bike and started riding a lot because my bike was totalled in the wreck where I broke the collar bone. I did ride about 2 weeks after the accident a couple times and had the same experience that you did after 1 week. I would say it was 4-5 weeks before I felt comfortable riding like normal again. Still to this day i have a big lump there you can feel the bones healed on top of one another rather than together and my shoulder pops all the time. doesn't hurt though
