Dog/kid/bird/ball/skateboard/pole ran out in front and you dodged and ended up in the gutter

Insurance companies are not that stupid. Most will be able to look at the damage and tell if you are lying. They will see a broken tail and possibly a bent/broken subframe up and away from the rear tire and KNOW that this was not the result of a lowside. If you tell them you dodged to avoid someone and went into a curb you had better have a bent front wheel to go with the damage....or at least a clean tail. You know that if some dumb-*** on Stuntlife can take a look at a bike and give you a good idea as to HOW it crashed (most of on here can I bet) then the guy the insurance company hires to approve or deny millions of dollars in claims will be able to do AT LEAST as good of a job.

You can go with whatever you want, but most likely you will get dropped. Sad but true fact of stunting an insured bike.

A bit of advise too....If you are as old as you say you are and your driving record is pretty clean there is NO REASON AT ALL to have a $1000 deductible when going down to a $100 or $250 deductible is only going to cost you a couple percent more per year to cover. Just my

Claim it stolen. That way you get full value, they won't see the bike AND you can part out the old bike for $$$ to cover your deductable and get back all the money you paid the incsurance compnay. Fukk em!

That sounds good. But say you hit a dog, tried to swerve around it and the bike wheelied and threw you off. A dog is covered under comp not collision so your rates will stay the same. I know two peeps who have hit dogs this year and they're both ridin brand new machines right now.

they won't deny the claim.....about dropping you, i don't know, but they won't deny it....i know several guys who have wrecked stuntin and claimed
the damage.....if you have a hole in the frame they will salvage the bike...and some companys will let you buy it back from them

Re: What to tell my insurance company

Progressive is way to expensive. I have a 22 and 23 yr old friends that have liability with progressive. Both of them have clean records and they quoted them $3,000 to $4,000 for full coverage a year. State farm is the way to go.

As for making a claim.... tell them somebody cut you off. You then, swerved out of the way and your throttle got stuck. And your bike looped out from your control.

that's exactly what I said. There was a cat that ran out in front of me in the road. I swerved out of the way, saw I was going in the ditch, overcompensated and ended up across the otherside in the ditch.

I looped a wheelie and it summersaulted down the road. My bike was totalled and I bought it back from the insurance company.

now everything is paid off, and I still got a check in the mail for money that I get!

Re: What to tell my insurance company

I would definately have to agree with payin for it your self. If you are gonna stunt your bike just carry liability to cover you if you actually hit another car, but if you do somethin and wad your **** up on your own why should it be someones elses job to pay for your **** up

Re: What to tell my insurance company

not a very good question for a public forum

if your learning to stunt you dont need good plastics anyway until you get good.

you can fix your bike for under a grand as long as your frame and engine are not broke. i have done it many times.

Re: What to tell my insurance company

don't claim **** on your insurance unless you know your bike is completely fuked beyond repair, I fuked up my 03 gixxer 750 last year pretty bad, I had to replace ALL plastics, front end (forks, triples etc.) stator cover, shifter/peg passenger peg, ram air, headlight, cluch lever and a bunch of other **** I can't remember, I ended up spending less than 2gs fixing it, I bought everything thru ebay and here from the classifieds, so, if you're deductible is 1000, hit up ebay and see how much you can save.

Exactly! People who get caught defrauding thier insurance companies are why rates are so high for even good drivers, and worse for bad drivers. **** off and take responsibility for yourself
