Looking for a footware sponsorship?

This email just came through from Motonation, the US distributor of the Sidi and Set Up brands of riding boots. I hope I'm not the only one that thinks it's pretty cool that Motonation included street freestyle riders among roadracers, motocrossers and FMX guys as riders worthy of consideration for sponsorship. If you do send them a resume, make sure you mention the fact that you appreciate their willingness to view street freestyle as a legitimate form of motorcycle competition and street freestyle riders as trustworthy representatives of the Sidi/Set Up brands. This is a very rare attitude in the mainstream motorcycle industry.

That said, I'm sure they're not giving away free boots for tearing it up on the streets--keep that in mind if you submit a proposal...

Re: Looking for a footware sponsorship?

Aaron,

Is that a press release that would make it to print in SSB? Or is that usually something you would just normally see printed in CN?? Wondering if I should send one to you?

We typically don't print press releases--given the lead time with our print mag (anywhere from two to three months) the news contained in the releases is usually totally irrelevant by the time that the issue hits stands. But I will frequently post releases to our Web site at www.superstreetbike.com, though, or forward it somewhere else if I think it's particularly interesting to some group (like this is to stunters).

To answer your question, yes, you should always send me press releases so I can keep up on what's going on with Speedrag.
