Plastic Epoxy?

Does anyone know of any plastic epoxy or method that works well with broken plastics??? I lowsided and my left rear plastic was ripped off of my F3. The only broken part is the plastic peg which gets pushed thru the rubber grommet on the bike. There isn't much surface area and I'm afraid that most glues will never withstand the force that is put on this piece when the fairing is removed. I'm am also considering gently heating and melting right at the break. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance.
