can get a mint 03 g1k for 5500$ 7200 miles to stunt, wondering if anyone stunts these got some tips on weather or not this is a good idea, or should i just stick wit building a shithouse 929 ?

you can stunt anything with an engine and a clutch. its all personal preference. ride one then make up your mind

 

jason britton stunts an 03' gsxr 1000 and 4 or 5 gsxr 750's . All his 750's are from 2000 to 2003. I stunt an 02' gsxr 1000 and a 929rr. Definitely go with a shithouse 929.lol The 1000 has more ***** but a way harder clutch. I developed tendinitus in my left wrist and arm from that stupid clutch The 929 has better balance point for sure and the clutch is way softer. No matter how beat up the 929 is, i bet you that the gsxr 1000 new or used, will always have a harder clutch to pull in.
Also, the gsxr's have their oil pickups in the front of the bike. Therefore, by the time you get that beast up to at least 10 o clock, the damn oil light is on The 929 has it's oil pickup in the middle. So, all i do is fill the oil up till it barely gets to the top of the glass.( a little over 4 quarts) My oil light doesn't come on till i hit my F.I. 12 bar. And i cut 4 inches off my bar. :YEAH

 

I'd say get it, it's pretty cheap, if you don't like it, you can always sell it for at least 6500, that way you try it out if it's not good then sell it and make some money off of it

 

a friend of mine has one and usually drag races it hardly ever stunts and did 2ups on his first stunt on them, its not that difficult

 

Hell yeah thats a good deal, I got an '04, and 3 of the guys I ride with have an '03 and they are riding the hell outta them...The oil pickup is true but 2 of my boys are riding 2 mile standups before the light comes on. If you get to that point just go to schnitz racing and get an oil pan baffle to keep the oil closer to the pickup line: www.schnitzracing.com

It's a badass ride - Starboy Scott is rockin an '03 Gixxer 1k too so it can't be too bad to stunt!

either or... whatevers cheaper i guess..i rock a 03 1000 the only problem is my oil light keeps coming on while 12ing (only real slow like under 10 mph)
