which direction?

Since I started riding a couple of years ago, I've noticed a definate trend in stunting that leans towards low speed, low damage, low cost stunts. Not saying they aren't cool, but anymore every picture I see is of a guy doing a 12 with one hand off of the grips. When I first started riding, everything was high speed 100+ wheelies.. switched up, of course, feet over the bars, on the tank, flamingo.. you name it.. but with extreme stunt riding becoming more and more popular, it seems everything is getting slower. Whats your thoughts on this? I ride with about 3 guys that like to do the slow speed stuff but the rest of us are the "high-speed, nightime, freeway, wheelie riders" type. Whats your thoughts on this and how do you usually ride?

I mean no disrespect to the slow riders, because theres no way I could do any of the stuff you guys do. I know it takes a lot of talent..

It just seems that its gone from Evel Keneivel to BMX type street stunts..

the sport is evolving. **** happens. high speed is cool...but that seemed to be more of a "have to" than an "it's lame to go slow" kinda thing.

the slow speed thing is control. f-cking crazy skill. Figure most stunt riders get 1/4 mile each way to ride in front of a crowd. well better get it in that 1/4 mile
If you can drag *** that 1/4 mile you da man

It's just evolution of the sport. The high speed stuff is usually the easiest to learn so that's where you gotta start. I'm trying to get my slow stuff down. It just takes me a ton of practice. Rear brake control is a bitch for me. I still like long fast stuff but I try to keep it below 75 mph or so. There really isn't any reason to go faster I don't think.

Slow stuff takes a lot more skill. With all the powerful bikes that are being produced now, anyone can do 100 mph wheelie. I love doing the highspeed stuff also, but slow and controlled is where it is at.

i would like to learn some slow **** too. gonna work on the faster **** first though. it would be so bad *** to pull up in a busy parking lot a whip a circle wheelie other than having to wheelie by at 80.

p.s.-bad *** avitar chris
