ZX7R vs 98-99 SRAD 750 Gixxer
Just curious what your opinions are... I currently ride an 01 zx7r and am considering buying a 98 or 99 srad gixxer 750. Neither bike would be for just stunts or just riding but i am wondering how much easier you think it will be to wheelie the gixxer in 1st or 2nd gear as opposed to my 7r which is a pain to get up at all. I know the new gixxer 750's or the 1000's wheelie extremely easy but i have always loved the srads from 98-99... Just want everybody's

my first bike was an 02' zx 7r. That was a huge mistake cuz i bought a sportbike to do stunts. I saw the New York's Finest video and it blew my mind. It turns out that i couldn't progress anymore on the wheelies cuz that bike was garbage and it was a million pounds.
SRAD or not i recommend you buy a bike that is fuel injected and make sure that it weighs in the 370-390 area dry weight. Good luck!

I stunt a 7R. I geared the hell out of it but I don't care because I stunt, don't care much for speed. Once I geared it I haven't had too many problems with it. It's definately not the best stunt bike, but it'll do it.

I know a guy who wants to sell his 1999 GSXR 750. Runs greatm, just has some cosmetic damage from an accidet the other week. Only wants $2000!!! It's got NY salvage paperwork, he's had some trouble getting it registered here in PA. Let me know, I will pass his number on to you if you want it.

Other wise, thanks for all the replies everybody...you guys have provided some good info. As far as gearing it a lot, i have it down 1 tooth up front but nothing else and dont really wanna gear it too much because i mainly ride twisties and really only want to be able to ride a wheelie now and then on the back roads just for fun...not really for any real purpose or in front of a bunch of people just for myself... So you say that the srad has really good throttle response??
