powers cage

i am lookin to put a cage on my 00 r6. i do still ride my bike and hit twisties once and awhile. i know the powers cage was designed by a racer so it gives good clearence in corners. but does it hold up as well as the 905 or FI cages?

From what I've been told, it's MUCH stronger than those other cages.
I ordered mine last week. :YEAH
Go to Reckless Methods in the stunt competitors and there's a thread on thier cages with quite a few people's opinions.

Re: powers cage

Get someone to make one for you it's a lot cheaper and easy to do.

Re: powers cage

the powers cage definietly gives you a ton more cornering clearance than the other cages. powers is the way to go.

You can take off the loop on the FI cage and also the end caps in a few minutes. if you scrape the sliders then, that means you lowsided, and the frame sliders are still plenty long enough to protect your bike . . . My piece has fallen straight over from a 12 onto the cage and I rode it home . . . its happend more than once, so I can only say great things about it :YEAH

i would say leave it to the people who design these cages, they are designing with the riders in mind and it helps stunt related businesses grow, which is what we need.

Re: powers cage

whatever you do, dont go with a FI, my friend had one on an 03 R6, and he dropped it,and it ended up ripping the motor mount on the frame, and a big chunk of the engine out

Re: powers cage

I know everyone here is liking their powerscage but how much does it actually protect? I know it's better than frame sliders but I was wondering the guys that dropped their bikes was anything on the bike messed up? Thanks
