i cooked my 96 gixxer 750 motor earlier in the year... Lately i've been thinking to get a 50 to practice on and stuff.

NEways... i put a 905 cage on it last year as well as vortex rearsets and the bike has dirt bars on it too...

now i can get a 600 engine that'll fit in there and get it back on the road for a decent price.... or a friend of mine would buy me a new crf50 and trade.

Fix your bike. 50's are cool and all but they get old. A 50 is a secondary bike, not a primary.

My bike ain't the prettiest but I can still get a lady (or two) on the back for a ryde.....

i can't see you getting a motor for much less than $400, so why not just keep your bike, or if the frame is good part it out and you'd have more than enough to buy a 50. i think either way if you traded a running gixxer for a 50 you'd be getting ripped off.

and yeah a z50 doesn't = xr50, just the motor.
