actually i think all the others are compatible except the upper, because they changed the shape of the headlight in 96

96+97's are the same, the rest are all very similar and can be fitted with a little work. But if you change the upper to another year, you also have to change the headlight and brackets.

So what all would it take to put 97+ plastics on a '94? Just new brackets? How about wiring for the headlight?

Here is the deal...

-1993-1994 same body, dual headlights, 889cc motor. Speedo off front tire which makes the inners different. Same intake covers.

- 1995 mutant year, new front fairing, single headlight, new windshield, same mids and tail. 889cc motor, updated intake covers, speedo off front sprocket, newer guages, added an adjustment for forks, new triple clamp, same mirror stay thats bolts to the frame. New heel guards.

- 1996-1997 same bike basicly. 95 front fairing and headlight, slight mid change, 919cc motor!!, new frame, subframe, gas tank bolts on different with new mirror stay that bolts on the tank. 97 has 2 "gills" on tail. Speedo runs off of transmission. Newer style switches on bars. updated swingarm, Changed ignition (added wire so older ignitions wont work on this one).

- 1998-1999 new front fairing and headlight, new windshield, 919cc motor, new mirror stay, longer front faiting brackets, new digital gauges, slight change in mids and lowers, new tail, new taillight, new center tail, new passenger seat, longer ignition key and new ignition, upgraded forks, upgraded front brakes and rotors, wider triples, same back brake set-up with new caliper, different brake pedal, new heel guards.

Swapable parts?
- All 900RRs: back wheel, tail light bracket, peg brackets, forks, front seat, brake and clutch levers, mids, heel guards, lowers (must have both sides matching)
- 93-97: same tail light, back seat, tail plastics, center tail, front fairing brackets,
- 93-95 motors, subframes, and tanks are the same
- All 900RRs and take any year motor.

Is that enough of a list for you all? he he he

I speak from experience. I have had to replace damn near every body panel, and a few other peices on my RR since I've had it.
