well i only know 2 things from experience on my buddies 929 - the swingarms seem to bemade with a different process than the rest of the aluminum on the bike (ie the frame) only reason i know this is because i know the guy who polished it and he clims that the swingarm was the first one that he has ever seen that had that much difficulty getting that polished shine to it (this was the first 929 he did and he says future suggestion to customers would be to chrome it???????) he seemed to feel that the meatl (in very technical terms) seemed to be crappy as compared to the meatl stock used on the rest of the bike????????

the other is the frame on the 929 - im not sayin they rnecessarily weak (could have just been a perfect shot but same bike was hit by a cage and the right clipon swung into the frame causing the bar end weight to punch a hole in the frame.....now i know what ur tinking thats not tough could happen to any frame if its hit correctly right ..............not like this though, there as no distortion to the metal no denting around the hole as a matter of fact there was barely a scuff mark on the polish just a hole where the metal pushed in in the perfect shape of the bar end weight ...........made me wonder
